Vinous Joel Payne - 01 Dec 14
Golden yellow. Candied apricot, butterscotch, clove and a faint hint of smoky botrytis on the nose. A creamy nectarine flavor is accentuated by chalky minerality. Rich and still a touch grapey, but also both subtle and complex, this chenin blanc is just beginning to find its balance. Remarkably appealing.
